Welcome to CodePin. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the CodePin iOS application.

1. Data Collection and Storage

CodePin is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our own servers.

• Local Storage: All data, including generated QR codes, configurations, and scan history, is stored locally on your device using Apple's local storage solutions (SwiftData).
• iCloud Sync (Pro Users): If you use the CodePin Pro iCloud sync feature, your data is synchronized securely across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data resides solely in your private iCloud account. We, as the developers, have absolutely no access to this data.

2. Camera Access

CodePin requires access to your device's camera strictly for the purpose of scanning QR codes.

• The camera stream is processed entirely on-device using native Apple frameworks (AVFoundation).
• We do not take photos, record videos, or upload any camera data to any external server.

3. Photos Access

CodePin may request access to your photo library only when you explicitly choose to use photo-related features.

• Importing: You may choose images from Photos to scan QR codes from an existing picture or to add your own logo/image to a QR code design.
• Saving: You may allow add-only Photos access to save exported QR code images to your photo library.
• On-Device Processing: Selected and generated images are processed on-device. We do not upload your photos or exported images to our own servers.

4. Live Activities

CodePin utilizes Apple's ActivityKit to pin QR codes to your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. All data passed to the Live Activity is processed and rendered locally on your device.

Because Live Activities appear on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, the pinned QR code and its related display information may be visible to anyone who can view your device screen while it is unlocked or actively displaying the Live Activity.

5. Analytics and Third-Party Tracking

CodePin does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or telemetry frameworks. Your usage of the app remains completely private and untracked by us.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

CodePin offers premium features through in-app purchases (CodePin Pro). All payments and subscriptions are processed directly by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
